| |
| |
Endowed chairs and professorships provide the University with funds in perpetuity to hire top professors to teach and conduct research at NMSU. These investments generate income to supplement salaries, benefits, and in some cases, a research stipend. Endowing a Chair or Professorship is a great way to leave a named legacy for yourself or a loved one while helping NMSU secure continued support for excellence in teaching and research. For more information about establishing an endowed professorship or chair, please contact Nick Franklin at 575.646.1613. |

While funding often comes through state appropriations, frequently NMSU must raise matching amounts to complete these projects. You can get involved by contacting the Office of University Advancement 800.342.6678 | 575.646.1611 and ask for Nick Franklin.
For questions regarding architectural design please contact Office of Facilities Planning and Construction/University Architects 575.646.1016 and ask for Greg Walke. |

High quality research that serves the needs of the people of New Mexico and the United States is the backbone of NMSU. The renovation of this 40 year old building is planned to include an interactive science museum that will improve science education for teachers and K-12 school children. It will be the only facility of its kind in southern New Mexico. The building expansion will provide the operational environment for scientific collaboration and interdisciplinary research. With new laboratories and classrooms, NMSU will be able to improve and expand its ability to conduct research and translate this new information into improved educational lessons for students.

Loss can come unexpectedly yet there are stories to share and opportunities to remember. The Student Memorial is to honor students, faculty and staff who have lost their lives while a part of the NMSU community. The idea of such a structure stems from the heart of the campus — students. The location for this memorial is set for south of the Health and Social Services College along the International Mall just east of Guthrie Hall.

— O'Donnell Hall Phase I (return to top of Campus Improvements) |
| |
| |
The College of Education serves 1,700 undergraduates and 1,000 graduate students and is the fastest-growing college at NMSU. O'Donnell Hall was constructed in 1968. The O'Donnell Hall revitalization project will be done in three phases. Phase One includes renovation of the existing facility and an upgrade of technological capabilities. The eastern-end of the building will be replaced with an addition of 35,000 sq. ft. of new space to accommodate classrooms and administrative offices. One key difference in the new look will be the addition of windows along the north wall.
