Spotlight: Joan and Herbert Zuhl

NMSU Library named for donors of largest gift

A generous planned gift from Herbert and Joan Zuhl, the largest donation in New Mexico State University's history, will provide endowment support for the maintenance and strategic growth of the New Mexico State University Library's research collections. By creating funding in perpetuity for the protection and development of the Library's collections, the Zuhls will support research, teaching, and learning for every future student, instructor and constituent of the University community.

The Zuhl Library also proudly houses an extraordinary array of beautiful geologic artifacts from the Zuhls' collections. These natural wonders bring students, children and their families, and members of the community to the University Library to learn more about the geologic world. Finally, the Zuhl Library exhibits on its third floor the dynamic, colorful paintings of Joan Talty Zuhl, who has enjoyed a rich career as an abstract painter.

NMSU appreciates their generosity and is honored to benefit from their commitment to education and our community.
